Brian wrote in “As expected the Vuelta is being shown on Eurosport.de starting Sat. but it seems it will also be shown live on Spanish channel TVEinternational (19E) – currently listed for Sat and Sun so far.”

TVEI is on a wide range of satellites with show times apparently only published a few days ahead, for the second year running.

Eurosport has Vuelta shows in the late afternoon most days.

Who else is covering this race free-to-air? RAI Sport pìu (13e) seems to prefer the Giro del Veneto at 1900 CET today.

  1. Vuelta coverage on RAI was discussed during a recent race (one of the Tritico Lombardo?). I believe there was a concern about cost. It wasn’t clear whether the organisers were asking too much, or the RAI simply had too little in the bank, but schedules suggest it won’t even feature as highlights on RAI.

  2. Thanks for the note. I’ve not asked them, but I expect budget is the main reason the race isn’t on itv4. It’ll be interesting to see how their coverage of the Tour of Britain is this year, after a good (if next-day) coverage of the Tour Series of town-centre circuit races earlier this year.
