French viewers with cable are spoiled, with Eurosport France and Sport+ covering a lot of races throughout the season to complement whatever is on France Televisions 2/3/4. The problem is for French viewers who do not have cable. That pretty much leaves just France Televisions which is rather slim pickings over the course of the season (many classics missing, no Giro d'Italia, no Vuelta, etc.) France 2/3 coverage of the TDF is of course superb.

French viewers are increasingly discovering they can watch races online; our French visits at http://www.cyclingfans.com/ are increasing.

Surely French TV covers the other French races pretty well?

Anyway, I can't find W9 clear on the satellite today, but Eurosport say they'll go straight from the finish of Amstel Gold to the Tro Bro Leon race in Brittany. I missed that one in the listings...
